The Monmouth Ocean Regional REALTORS® is thrilled to announce the appointment of Brian Levine, Esq. as the new Chief Executive Officer, effective Tuesday, September 3rd. With a distinguished career spanning over two decades in the legal and real estate sectors, Levine brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of leadership to our organization.
Brian Levine most recently served as the General Counsel and Professional Standards Administrator for the Hudson Gateway Association of Realtors®, the second largest association in New York State. In this role, Levine was instrumental in managing all legal matters for the association and its MLS, which, in partnership with the Long Island Association of Realtors®, operates the largest MLS in New York State. His responsibilities included providing legal guidance to the Executive Committee, Board of Directors, and staff, addressing employment matters, and overseeing Professional Standards ethics and arbitration complaints. Levine also played a key role in navigating the recent NAR Settlement Agreement transition and was actively involved with NAR on multiple levels.
Prior to his tenure with the Hudson Gateway Association, Levine was a trial attorney for nearly 20 years, representing clients in state and federal courts across New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts, including the United States Supreme Court. His extensive legal experience is complemented by a background as a brokerage manager and service on various Boards of Directors. Additionally, Levine has been a faculty member at Brandeis University, Emerson College, and Framingham State University, where he taught Communication.
Levine holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications at Syracuse University, a Master’s degree in Public Relations and Management Communication from Emerson College, and a Law degree from St. John’s University. Recently, he earned the National Association of Realtors® Realtor® Association Certified Executive (RCE) designation, reflecting his dedication to professional growth and excellence in association management.
